College Ready: Self-Defense Seminar

Heading off to college—or preparing for it—comes with new freedoms and new challenges. Our College Ready Self-Defense Seminar is designed to give high school and college students the tools they need to stay safe and confident in the real world.

Rooted in Krav Maga, this practical, no-nonsense training focuses on real-world self-defense skills: awareness, boundary-setting, de-escalation, and simple but effective physical techniques. Whether it’s navigating social situations, walking alone at night, or handling unwanted attention, students will walk away with strategies they can actually use.

Open to all high school grade levels and college students, this seminar is empowering, hands-on, and judgment-free—because it’s never too early to take charge of your own safety.

Things to Know Before You Train

This is a contact-based seminar.
We’ll be practicing real-world scenarios, which means you’ll be working with partners and using light to moderate physical contact. That said—we always respect comfort zones. If something feels off or overwhelming, students are encouraged to speak up. We’ll meet you where you are.

We cover real situations.
Topics may include harassment, unwanted attention, and physical assault. We keep it respectful and age-appropriate, but we don’t shy away from reality.

Come ready to move.
Wear comfortable clothes you can train in (think: gym class or workout gear). You’ll be barefoot or in socks on the mats—no shoes allowed.

No experience? No problem.
Whether it’s your first time trying self-defense or you’ve trained before, this seminar is beginner-friendly and judgment-free.

Bring water, a towel, and an open mind.
We’ll sweat a little, learn a lot, and leave more grounded than we came in.
